Automate Twitter & Facebook Marketing, Branding, and Lead Generation

Recent studies have shown that Twitter is not really a social networking social network!

Makes sense really... people don't care about getting replies and comments like you would in a blog or in a ning social network.

Why is this important to know as a business or marketer?

Because if you understand that people following you on Twitter (and on Facebook for that matter) are mostly interested in relevant, meaningful content, then you would be wise to send out up to the minute news and information pertaining to your business.

However, most people (like me) are just too dang' busy to be doing that each and every day.

Yet, doing the daily / multiple times a day updates is really what can quickly set you apart from all of your competitors - so it's almost a MUST!

That's why I've put together some of the most powerful Twitter and Facebook applications out there to develop a 100% automated, complete marketing system for Twitter and Facebook.

With my system, you are now fully automating on a large scale the very process that consumes everyone's time and burns most people out - the generation of content in your Twitter and Facebook page.

Having an automated system handling that piece for you allows you to focus on things like your growing business, custom service, etc...

The point here is that having an automated system will... automatically... do the most important task in maximizing Twitter and Facebook for your marketing and branding purposes.

And what do you get to do?

How about managing all the new phone calls, customers, and clients!

Twitter & Facebook Integration and Automation

Twitter is a new phenomena that is quickly sweeping the world of the Internet...

Wait a minute.

I thought Facebook was all that and more...?

It is, actually - they both are. And if you're a business and NOT using Twitter and Facebook, then you are losing out on a huge opportunity to build exposure, traffic to your website, and brand name exposure.

However, don't be fooled - most people are clueless as to how to use either Facebook or Twitter in a way that is beneficial (perhaps just using them at all...)

Which is really another advantage for the business that get's it figured out because with fewer "businesses" knowing how to use Twitter and Facebook, the less competition there is for you!

Pretty cool huh?

Anyway, I want to tell you quickly about a powerful way that you can use both Twitter and Facebook - and better yet, use them without spending all of your time updating your tweets or your status on Facebook.

I'm talking about three specific things:

1) Fully automating your Twitter and Facebook accounts

2) Integrating the two (Twitter / Facebook) so they automatically work in tandem with each other.

3) Customizing your Twitter and Facebook page so that each visitor, follower, and friend is exposed to either your business, or your website URL directly.

Number 3 is a powerful concept when you think about the ever growing exposure that Twitter and Facebook delivers.

Imagine, if you have 150 followers on Twitter, and those 150 followers and another 150 friends in Facebook, then each time you send out a new tweet 300 new people are exposed to your website and business.

And now imagine if you updated your Twitter page several times a day!!! Which is possible with a automated process like the one I build.

So there you have it - completely automating your Twitter and Facebook pages, and automatically marketing, and growing your market, with a few customization and integration steps with Twitter and Facebook.

How it's done:

1) The Twitter automation is achieved with a tool called TwitterFeed.com - this is a powerful tool that allows you to designate RSS feeds, and each time that feed is updated (such as from a blog), then that new posting is added to your Twitter page.

If you utilized news and information type feeds for your specific niche or industry, then your followers will appreciate your updates as it keeps them in the "know" about what's going in with in your market space.

2) Your Facebook page (or wall) is automatically updated from within your Twitter account. Go to the settings, and then find "You Can Also Add Twitter To Your Site Here". From there, you can integrate your Twitter page with your Facebook page. Now, each time your Twitter page is updated, so is your Facebook wall.

3) Proper branding and marketing is key with this process. The way I achieve it is through custom made icons (see here >> http://twitter.com/bulldogvoices). You can see how the icon promotes my site, and so it is also promoted to all of my followers each time a new tweet goes out. This is especially powerful because now people don't have to come back to my Twitter page to see my website - they get it right in my icon.

This strategy must also be implemented on Facebook. Although on Facebook, the image settings can be a little weird, so you'll need to do some tweaking with your icon to get a full URL (website address) to show up on the little icon. But it's easily achieved on your Facebook profile page.

The point here is that with the exposure that Twitter and Facebook delivers to a continually growing audience of followers and friends, having proper branding and imagery is a powerful way to keep your business in front of this audience.

And again, what's driving this exposure, and saving you a ton of time, is the fully automated updating that starts at Twitter and follows through to Facebook.

4) Finally, back to your Twitter page. Each time you get a new follower, I use a tool call TweetLater.com to send a direct message "DM" to welcome them and thank them for following me. This direct message is a lot like (in fact, it's just like) an auto responder email that someone would get if they subscribed to your blog.

Your direct message auto response should be short and sweet, and it needs to have a link to your website. And again, this process is all 100% automated!

Social Networking For Business

The rise of social networking on the web is unprecedented. Ten years ago, we had maybe one or two major networks at play. MySpace of course, but beyond that it was nominal.

Today, however, social networking abounds, but how do you as a business leverage all that's available?

As it's always been with business, the most effective way to reach new customers is through relations. Relationships is all about connecting and having meaningful conversation.

At the very least, I would recommend starting a blog. From there, I think Twitter facilitates connecting to people better than any other platform.

You can of course, link your blog to your Twitter page (more on that later). So that way your Twitter page is updated automatically.

Beyond launching your own blog, I next recommend having your own niche social network. A social network that is built around your niche market, would naturally attract people who are already interested in what you offer.

Another great use of a niche social network is for your internal business. This is sometimes referred to as an Enterprise Social Network.

And to make things even better for your niche social network other than having a place for people to come together who are interested in your business, is that Twitter can be implemented directly into the social network.

So now, with Twitter integrated into your social network, you benefit from having your own "Facebook" for your business, but also the power of spreading a conversation throughout the web via Twitter.

Definitely something to consider!
